Nebraska Wine Passports available

Seward's Junto Wine was chosen as one of 22 wineries to participate in the Nebraska Wine Passport, sponsored by the Milford-based Nebraska Winery and Grape Growers Association.

Passports are free and can be obtained at NebraskaWines.com or from any of the participating wineries. Deadline to complete passports is Dec. 15.

Each stop in the passport program brings a stamp. Those with 10 stamps in their passport earn a passport t-shirt. Additional stamps will be entered in drawings for wine accessories and wine bucks.

The program's goal is to raise awareness for area wineries and promote local businesses.

“There's still time to start your Nebraska Wine Passport and receive stamps towards wine bucks, t-shirts and more,” executive director of NWGGA Kylie Schildt said. “Supporting local businesses is more important than ever, and the Nebraska Wine Passport offers a great opportunity to visit area wineries and tasting rooms with friends and family, earn stamps toward prizes and get a head start in purchasing holiday gifts.”

In addition to Junto, other wineries include Capital View Winery and Vineyards (Roca), Cellar 426 Winery (Ashland), Deer Springs Winery (Lincoln), Feather River Vineyards (North Platte), Glacial Till Vineyard Tasting Room (Ashland), Glacial Till Vineyard (Palmyra), James Arthur Vineyards (Raymond), Mac's Creek Vineyards and Winery (Lexington), Miletta Vista Winery (St. Paul), Native 32 Winery (West Point), Niobrara Valley Vineyards (Nenzel), Nissen Family Vineyards (Hartington), Papa Moon Vineyards and Winery (Scottsbluff), Prairie Creek Vineyard and Winery (Central City), Rich Harvest Vineyard and Winery (Syracuse), Safehouse Winery (Syracuse), Schillingbridge Winery and Microbrewery (Pawnee City), Silver Hills Vineyards and Winery (Tekamah), Soaring Wings Vineyard (Springfield), Three Brothers Vineyard and Winery (Farnam) and Whiskey Run Creek Vineyard and Winery (Brownville).

The passport program also involves seven tasting rooms throughout the state. Participating tasting rooms are: Apple House Market (Nebraska City), George Spencer Tasting Room (Gibbon), Kimmel Orchard and Vineyard (Nebraska City), The Rose Colored Glass (Stromsburg), Too Far North (Fort Calhoun), Worstrel Family's Union Orchard (Union) and Whispering Winds Vineyards (Lincoln).
