Astronaut to make stop in Milford

Astronaut Clayton Anderson has spent 167 days floating among the moon and stars.
On Monday, Feb. 22, he will be firmly grounded in Milford to share his journey of pursuing his dreams with elementary students.

Suspect arrested in homicide case

On the morning of Feb. 14 at approximately 6 a.m., troopers served an arrest warrant on Casey Kindt for the charges of first-degree murder, use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, burglary and child abuse.

TODAY - Free movie

The Seward Rotary Club’s free movie on Monday, Feb. 17, at 1 p.m. will feature the new “Garfield The Movie!” Special drawings for door prizes are planned. There is no charge for anyone to attend the movie. The Rotary is asking all attending to donate one or two toiletry items to be given to the area pantries and/or Food Net.

TOMORROW - Pancake feed

The Centennial FFA will host a pancake feed Tuesday, Feb. 18, from 6 – 8 a.m. at the Centennial ag shop. All community members and FFA supporters are invited with pancakes, sausage and juice to be served.

TOMORROW - Pickleball

Funeral services

MINCHOW, Charlene

The funeral service for Charlene Minchow will be today, Feb. 17, at 10:30 a.m. at Volzke Funeral Home in Seward. A private interment will be held at the Pleasant Dale Cemetery.
