MAY 25, 2021 COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS Boards of Commissioner Meetings are held each Tuesday morning in the Seward County Courthouse at 9:00 a.m., except for the first Tuesday of each month when meetings will be held at 8:30 a.m. Notice of each meeting is posted on the Courthouse bulletin board and on the Commissioner’s room door. The agenda for all meetings is kept continually current and is available for public inspection at the County Clerk’s Office during normal business hours. The agenda is held open until one business day prior to the meeting for appearance before the Board. The Board has the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting. Approved Tax List Correction. Commissioners congratulated Woolsey on passing the Assessor’s Certification test. Convened as the Board of Commissioners. Approved minutes of May 18, 2021. Approved Seward County claims for the period through May 14, 2021. Commissioners gave reports of their activities. Approved establishment of American Rescue Act Fund as a Designated Investment for Seward County and approved investment of said funds. Authorized Highway Supt. to go out for bids for a heavy-duty equipment trailer. Carrie Rodriquez, Chief Probation Officer, and Morgan Campbell, Problem-Solving Court Coordinator, were present to give the Commissioners information about probation services in Seward County. Approved Jones Bank to withdraw pledged securities. Approved short form plat in J precinct. Held Public Hearing for and approved Conditional Use Permit in J precinct. Members of the public were present to speak. Approved contracts with GWorks. Approved contract between Seward County and Public Defender’s office.
