MAY 23, 2023 COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS Boards of Commissioner Meetings are held each Tuesday morning in the Seward County Courthouse at 9:00 a.m., except for the first Tuesday of each month when meetings will be held at 8:30 a.m. Notice of each meeting is posted on the Courthouse bulletin board and on the Commissioner’s room door. The agenda for all meetings is kept continually current and is available for public inspection at the County Clerk’s Office during normal business hours. The agenda is held open until one business day prior to the meeting for appearance before the Board. The Board has the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting. Approved Tax List Corrections. Hladky gave an update of her office. Convened as the Board of Commissioners. Approved minutes of May 16, 2023. Approved claims through May 12, 2023. Highway Supt., Terry Wicht gave an update of his department. Approved County Clerk’s Report for the Milford Special Election held on May 9, 2023. Approved agreement with NDOT for work on the Bee Spur bridge. Approved purchase of new John Deere loader. Approved Extension Office staff apparel purchase. Approved Allo as the new phone provider for Seward County. Approved several health insurance plan agreements. Commissioners gave reports of their activities. Ratified a discussion that was held during the Executive Session held on May 17, 2023. Discussion was held on a claim paid with ARPA funds, a bridge taken off the 1&6 Year Road Plan, a Road Dept. request for 10-hour days, dust control on roads, and infrastructure-related grants.
