Marvene Mae Bowen, age 85 of Lincoln, died peacefully at home, surrounded by family on Monday, April 5, 2021. She was the youngest of five children, and only daughter of Herman and Bertha (Rezabek) Behrens of Crete. Marvene married Robert L. Bowen on Jan. 21, 1954, in Crete. They lived in Ord, Seward and Crete before making Lincoln their final home.
She is survived by her children, Pam (Dave) Hallowell of Lincoln, Russ (Linda) Bowen of North Richland Hills, Texas, Deb (Bill) Vocasek of Lincoln, Shelly (Terry) Manson of Crete; grandchildren, Ryan, Aaron VanAndel, Angie (Bowen) Short, Glen Bowen, Mike, Stefanie, Nic Vocasek, Shane, Stacy Manson; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Marvene was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Robert, and son, Wesley J. Bowen.
An internment/burial service will be at a date yet to be decided due to COVID-19 and family travel arrangements. Condolences may be left for the family at lincolnfh.com.
