Marcus Prange, 34, Thornton, Colo., formerly of Ogallala, died Sunday, March 10, 2013, in Thornton.

Marcus James Prange was born Nov. 29, 1978, in Hastings, the son of James and Patrice (Cole) Prange.

He attended schools in Ogallala. Marcus attended his senior year in Boys Town and graduated from high school in 1997.

Marcus then attended Colorado Mountain College in Leadville, Colo.

On April 1, 2012, he was united in marriage to Nicole Kroetsch at Breckenridge, Colo. The couple resided in Thornton and he was employed as a culinarian at the Denver Chop House and Brewery.

He had a love of the Colorado outdoors enjoying skiing, boarding and hiking.

Preceding him in death were his grandparents Don Cole, Truman Prange and Esther Prange.

Survivors include his wife Nicole Prange, Thornton, Colo.; his mother Patrice Prange, Hastings; his father James Prange and his wife Debra, Ogallala; a sister Nicole Hogrefe and a brother Michael Prange, both of Lincoln; grandmother Ruby Cole, Hastings; mother-in-law Felicia Kroetsch, Loveland, Colo.; two aunts Carla Felix and Brenda Prange, both of Seward; a brother-in-law Ryan Kroetsch and his special friend Lisa Pursell, both of Loveland, Colo.; niece and nephew Jenna Hogrefe and Isaac Hogrefe, both of Lincoln; niece and nephew Destinee Kroetsch and Kohl Kroetsch, both of Loveland, Colo.

A celebration of Marc’s life was held Friday, March 15, at the Denver Chop House and Brewery, Denver, Colo.

Memorials have been established to the Mid America Boston Terrier Rescue or the Wild Animal Sanctuary of Keenesburg, Colo.
