Lois E Tuepker, age 96 of York, formerly of Gresham, died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2021, at York.

She was born Oct. 31, 1924, in Morse Bluff, to Andrew and Jennie (Wilkins) Edmiston. Lois graduated from Gresham High School, Class of 1941. She married Elmer Tuepker on May 3, 1952. They were blessed with two children, Judy (Don) White and Jim (Deb) Tuepker. She worked several years for Thompson Grocery, Diers Grocery and Dixon Drug, all in Gresham.

Lois enjoyed watching any sports involving the Huskers and the Kansas City Royals.

Before moving to York, after retirement, she was a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church in Gresham, and in York she was a member of Faith Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her children, Judy White of Seward, and Jim (Deb) Tuepker of Lexington; three grandchildren, Jennifer (Barry) Devillier of Rockwall, Texas, Marcus (Michele) Tuepker of Denver, Colorado, and Danielle (Jake) Hoffmaster of Kearney; four great-grandchildren, many nephews, nieces and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer; all of her siblings, Walter Edmiston, Arnold Edmiston, Bessie Blumn, Ida Dey, Janet Burgess, Margaret Lindstrom, Francis Edmiston and Donald Edmiston; step-siblings, Norman Edmiston and Anita Tanner; and son-in-law, Donald White.

A graveside service was Oct. 25 at St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery in Gresham. Memorial contributions are suggested to the family for later designation. Condolences for the family may be left online at www.metzmortuary.com.
