Kimberly Sue (Steckly) Klintworth was born April 9, 1979, in Aurora, to Orrie and Delores (Chollar) James.

She and her older brother, Richard, were adopted by Frank and Joy (Eck) Steckly in 1982. She received the blessing of baptism at Bellwood Mennonite Church in October, 1993. Kim attended elementary school at Centennial Public School in Utica and graduated from Milford High School in May, 1998.

Kim spent 10 months serving with Service Adventure in Raleigh, North Carolina, from 1999-2000, working in daycare and on a horse farm. Kim worked in daycare, housekeeping and dietary services at several businesses in Seward and Milford. She continued to play in Special Olympic sports and in January, 2010, she and Daniel Klintworth met being on the same basketball team. They were married on May 21, 2011, at Bellwood Mennonite Church in Milford by Pastor David Miller. Dan and Kim made their home in Seward. Kim confirmed her faith and became a communicant member of St. John Lutheran Church in Seward on May 6, 2012, by Pastor Scott Bruick. The verse she was given was Isaiah 40:11(NIV) – “He tends his flock like a shepherd. He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young.” Dan and Kim became the parents of two daughters – Trista Renae in 2012 and Christina Marie in 2015. Kim loved children and animals, and passed on that passion to her daughters. Dan and Kim lovingly become involved in the activities their girls were involved in.

Kim was diagnosed with breast cancer in January, 2019. She was blessed with being cancer free at the end of the year. In September 2021, her cancer aggressively returned and no treatments were able to stop its progression. On Saturday evening Oct. 30, 2021, after having fought the good fight and keeping the faith, Kim finished the race and God called her Home to be with Him. She had attained the age of 42 years, 6 months and 21 days.
