June 8, 2021 COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS Boards of Commissioner Meetings are held each Tuesday morning in the Seward County Courthouse at 9:00 a.m., except for the first Tuesday of each month when meetings will be held at 8:30 a.m. Notice of each meeting is posted on the Courthouse bulletin board and on the Commissioner’s room door. The agenda for all meetings is kept continually current and is available for public inspection at the County Clerk’s Office during normal business hours. The agenda is held open until one business day prior to the meeting for appearance before the Board. The Board has the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting. CLAIMS ALLOWED JULY 6, 2021 The Seward County Board of Equalization convened on June 8, 2021, at 8:30 a.m. Present: Chairperson: John Culver Members: Misty Ahmic, Bob Vrbka, Ken Schmieding, Darrell Zabrocki County Clerk: Sherry Schweitzer County Assessor: Marilyn Hladky Approved minutes of May 25, 2021. Approved two Tax List Corrections. Hladky gave an update of her office. Convened as the Board of Commissioners. Approved minutes of June 1, 2021. Officials gave updates of their offices. Commissioners gave reports of their activities. Signed a letter to TransCanada Pipeline. Accepted the Sheriff’s Fee & Mileage Report for April 2021. Accepted the County Clerk and Clerk of the District Court Fee Reports for May 2021. Approved Highway Dept. to purchase a 1-ton pickup. Approved Seward County claims for the period through May 28. 2021. Carrie Sermeno, Bailiff for the Seward District Judge, was present to discuss the overage of the District Court Budget. Approved change in deductible with NIRMA for auto physical damage. Approved authorization of County Clerk to prepare documents to amend the 2020-2021 Seward County Budget. Approved short form plat in N precinct. Approved implementation of Magellan RX savings program to health insurance renewal. Approved 4 contracts for Seward County 911 as presented by Andrew Matney, 911 Director, and Jessica Kolterman, Chairman of the 911 Board. Approved the creation of 911 Lead Dispatcher job position within the 911 Center. Seward Sheriff, Mike Vance, and York Sheriff, Joe Vrbka, were present to discuss an Investigator position with the York Sheriff’s Office which would be placed at the Seward County Task Force building. Lloyd Ihde was present to discuss the maintenance of Tamora streets.
