June 1, 2021 COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS Boards of Commissioner Meetings are held each Tuesday morning in the Seward County Courthouse at 9:00 a.m., except for the first Tuesday of each month when meetings will be held at 8:30 a.m. Notice of each meeting is posted on the Courthouse bulletin board and on the Commissioner’s room door. The agenda for all meetings is kept continually current and is available for public inspection at the County Clerk’s Office during normal business hours. The agenda is held open until one business day prior to the meeting for appearance before the Board. The Board has the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting. CLAIMS ALLOWED JULY 6, 2021 The Seward County Board of Commissioners convened on June 1, 2021, at 8:30 a.m. Present: Chairperson: John Culver Members: Misty Ahmic, Bob Vrbka, Ken Schmieding, Darrell Zabrocki County Clerk: Sherry Schweitzer Officials gave updates of their offices. Jonathan Jank, Executive Director of Seward County Chamber & Development Partnership, gave an update of the organization. Approved minutes of May 25, 2021. Commissioners gave reports of their activities. Approved Cattle Bank and First Bank of Utica to pledge securities. Approved annual agreement with Region V for Emergency Protective Services. Bob Dahms, County Treasurer, and Sherry Leising, Deputy County Treasurer, gave an update on investments of the American Rescue Act Funds. Constituent, Dale Nieman, asked the Board previously about signing a support letter to TransCanada for pipeline placement change. The item will be on next week’s agenda. Marci Fehlhafer, CASA Director, gave an update of Southeast CASA and request funding for the 21-22 Fiscal Year. Appointed Jeremy Steele to the Seward County Planning Commission. Alyssa Hendrix asked the Commissioners to wait on her request to complete a study of the vacation of roads and streets in the subdivision.
