Judith Ann Colberg was born Oct. 1, 1939, in Stromsburg, to Paul Y. and Belle M. (Johnston) Bond and passed away Sept. 5, 2022, in Seward, at the age of 82 years, 11 months and 4 days.

Judy grew up in rural Gresham, where she attended and graduated from Stromsburg High School with the Class of 1957. Judy worked at the meat locker in Stromsburg for several years before working at Banker’s Life in Lincoln. She was united in marriage to Douglas D. Colberg on April 8, 1961, in Lincoln, and to this union, two sons, Randal and Jeffry were born. The couple moved to Seward in July of 1974. She worked at Vahl Drug before beginning her career at Cattle National Bank. Judy retired as the Motor Bank Manager after 26 years. The couple enjoyed spending the winters in Arizona for 10 years. Judy enjoyed playing cards with her group of ladies, canning and traveling. Judy was a member of the Seward United Methodist Church and active in their Food Net program.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors cherishing her memory include her husband, Douglas Colberg, Seward; son, Randy Colberg and wife, Holly Moritz, Seward, Jeff and wife, Lisa Colberg, Lincoln; two grandsons, Jared and Cameron Colberg; sister-in-law, Sharon and Roger Burgason and family, Lincoln; brother-in-law, Mike and Beki Colberg and family, Waverly; cousins, Gary Allison, Gresham, Ronald Pierson, Loveland, Colorado, and special friend, Jean Gardner.

A graveside service and interment was Sept. 9 in the Stromsburg Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Seward United Methodist Church and on the memo line write Food Net or to the Blue River Pet Rescue. Condolences may be left for the family online at www.zabkafuneralhome.com.
