John William Mueller, Jr. was born Aug. 1, 1930, in Seward to John William Sr. and Theodora Natalia (Fiehler) Mueller, and passed away Nov. 19, 2020, in Seward at the age of 90 years, 3 months and 18 days.
John grew up in Seward, where he attended St. John Lutheran School and graduated from Seward High School with the Class of 1948. He worked with his father in a building contracting business for many years and was later a self-employed carpenter. He worked as a handyman and aide at several daycare facilities. A humble man, he touched many lives. John was a lifelong member of St. John Lutheran Church.
John was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Reinhold Mueller, Willard Mueller, Raymond Mueller and Edgar Mueller; and four sisters, Bernice (Henry) Luebbe, Mildred (Bert) Baldinger, Elizabeth (Richard) Murphey and Harriet (Enno) Klammer.
Survivors include his sister, Verna Wied; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A graveside service and inurnment will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 3, at the Greenwood Cemetery in Seward. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Bible Society. Condolences may be left for the family at www.zabkafuneralhome.com.
