A house at 29 Jackson Avenue in Seward caught fire July 19 around 9 p.m. Seward Fire responded, and firefighters cut a hole in the roof to allow smoke and flames to escape from the attic. Other departments, including Garland, Staplehurst, Utica and Milford, provided mutual aid because of extreme heat that day. Additional details were unavailable.
