Heartfelt Seward invites the community to join a global wave of remembrance this Sunday, December 8, 2024, for World Candle Lighting Day. The event will take place at the Children’s Memorial in Seward and will also be accessible virtually. At 7:00 PM, candles will be lit for one hour to honor the lives of children gone too soon, creating a symbolic “wave of light” that circles the globe.
Heartfelt, a Seward-based nonprofit, is dedicated to supporting parents who have experienced the loss of a child. The organization established the Children’s Memorial as a space for reflection and healing and now seeks to enhance the memorial with the addition of a peaceful fountain.
In conjunction with this meaningful event, Heartfelt is running a Season of Giving fundraiser through December. Donations will help fund the fountain project and support Heartfelt’s mission of providing comfort and hope to grieving families. Contributions can be made by visiting heartfeltseward.org/holiday-
