Harriett Booher died at her home in Santa Rosa, California, having spent her final weeks surrounded by the love and care of her family. Her death follows a diagnosis, only seven weeks ago, of a widespread and incurable abdominal cancer.

As Harriett enters the joy of eternity, she rejoins her beloved husband, James, with whom she had shared more than 55 years of marriage, until his death in 2015. Her children, Michelle Booher-Poggi and husband Vincent Poggi, Marcia LaBrucherie and husband Robert Wright, Mark Booher and wife Lindy Booher; and her grandchildren, Claire Poggi, Caitlin Poggi, Travis LaBrucherie, Dawna LaBrucherie, John Wright, Claire Wright, Jesse Booher and Lily Booher, will profoundly miss her. A proud daughter of Nebraska, and beloved daughter of Harry and Etta Robotham of Pleasant Dale; sister of five older Robotham brothers, Frank (Joanna), Plin (Carol), Leonard (Phyllis), Don, Earl (Dorothy), together with many cherished nieces, nephews and extended family, join our dear friends and chosen family in celebrating her beautiful, indomitable spirit and mourning her departure. Leader, teacher, mentor and beloved friend of many, Harriett spent 37 years as an educator and community leader, principally in the Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District, through which she built life-long friendships. Harriett was known for her formidable strength of spirit and passion for helping others.

Memorial celebrations will be conducted at Daniels Chapel of the Roses on May 23 at 1 p.m. in Santa Rosa, Califonia, and Seward United Methodist Church on June 12 at 11 a.m. in Seward. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Habitat for Humanity of Sonoma County or First United Methodist Church of Santa Rosa.
