Four Corners announces COVID update

The Four Corners Health Department confirmed 85 new cases of coronavirus in Seward County between Oct. 17-25. That brings the total number in the county up to 474 – 151 in the past two weeks. There have been 1,387 total confirmed cases in the district.

Health officials shared an age breakdown among cases in that same week span, with the most confirmed cases coming from those in their 60s and 50s. Combined, those ages made up 30% of cases in the district over the course of that week.

Four Corners officials also confirmed two new COVID-related deaths in the district, both in Polk County.

The latest risk dial, updated on Oct. 23, rose slightly up to 2.56 from 2.50.
