Voters will get the chance to hear from local, county and statewide candidates at the Seward County League of Women Voters’ Candidates Night on Sunday, Sept. 25.

The event, scheduled for 2 to 4 p.m. in the lower level of the Seward Civic Center, is open to the public.

The forum will include introductions by each candidate and a time for the public to meet with candidates one on one, as well as question and answer forums for some races.

Candidates for governor, Legislative District 24, Seward Mayor, Seward City Council and Seward School Board will participate in the forums.

Candidates from other races, including non-contested ones, also are invited to attend.

The Seward County League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan, grassroots civic organization that encourages informed and active participation in elections and government and works to increase understanding of major public policy issues.
