Volunteers from area fire departments held toy collections to benefit Blue Valley Community Action for the past two weekends. Robert Corner with the Bee fire department said the Seward, Bee, Tamora, Beaver Crossing and Staplehurst departments and Miss Nebraska Princess Elle Vail all came together for the fundraising and toy collection effort. Walmart visitors could pick a tag that had gift requests from families in need and buy those items.
