Evelyn K. Densberger

Evelyn Kay Densberger, 80, of Malcolm passed away Aug. 8, 2019. Evelyn was born Sept. 20, 1938, on a farm near Pleasant Dale. She was the only child of Lawrence and Lora (Leger) Lohmeier. After the passing of Lora in 1950, Lawrence married Anna Lemka and together they raised Evelyn. She was confirmed in May of 1950. Evelyn graduated from University High in 1956.
On Aug. 17, 1957, Evelyn was united in marriage to Maurice Densberger. They lived on a farm near Malcolm all of their lives. Maurice and Evelyn had three sons: Jim (Nancy) Densberger of Raymond, Donald (Becky) Densberger of Malcolm and Melvin (Kathy) Densberger of Malcolm. Evelyn had seven grandchildren: Kelsey Densberger, Cody Densberger, Brittni Peltz, Morgan Klipp, Hayley Densberger, Michael Densberger and Jessica Andrews. She had six great grandchildren: Bodie and Paxton Peltz, Hayden and Bryn Klipp and Meah and Wyatt Andrews.
Evelyn worked for Burdens Sales in Lincoln and retired after working there for 23 years. Evelyn was a member of the Malcolm Fire Department Women’s Auxiliary, Nifty Fifty Car Club and the United Methodist Women of Faith Quilting Group. Evelyn loved puzzles, playing cards and playing board games. Evelyn loved spending time with her family and her grandkids and great-grandkids. She cherished and loved her dog, Ruben.
A service for Evelyn was held Aug. 13, 2019, at the Malcolm United Methodist Church, with burial at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Malcolm Fire and Rescue, P.O. Box 6, Malcolm, NE 68402.
