Electrical fire thought to have begun in attic

A fire broke out at Subway Motors, an automotive business at 115 S. Highway 6 in Milford, around 8 a.m. Wednesday, May 10.

Milford Fire Chief Jeremy Dinges said no one was injured in the fire. The state fire marshal’s preliminary investigation showed the fire began at an electrical outlet in the attic.

Dinges said the building is structurally sound and should be salvageable.

“They’ve got some clean up, but they should be able to get back into business,” he said.

Milford volunteer firefighters were on scene for about four hours.
