Eleanor Heinicke

Eleanor Marie Heinicke, 90, died May 17, 2012, at Heartland Park in Seward.

Mrs. Heinicke was born April 7, 1922, in Seward to Fred and Hulda (Prochnow) Kolterman.

She graduated from Concordia High School and attended Concordia Teachers College.

Mrs. Heinicke was a Lutheran school teacher in Grand Rapids, Mich.

On June 24, 1945, she married Gerhard Heinicke at St. John Lutheran Church in Seward.

She was a member of St. John Ladies Aid and Knittin’ Kittens.

Mrs. Heinicke was preceded in death by her husband Gerhard; son Timothy Heinicke; and brother Don Kolterman.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law Gary and Nancy Heinicke, Lincoln, and Ronald and Patricia Heinicke, Olathe, Kan.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Service was May 24, 2012, at St. John Lutheran Church, Seward, with the Rev. Andrew Ratcliffe officiating.

Casketbearers were Geoffrey Heinicke, Emily Feliciano, Joseph Heinicke, Samuel Heinicke, Andrew Heinicke and Jonathan Heinicke.

Burial was at Greenwood Cemetery, Seward.
