Deneen Sue Sperling of Seward was born Aug. 22, 1964, in Fremont to Milo and Maureen Sperling. She passed away Nov. 29, 2020, at Bryan West Hospital in Lincoln at the age of 56 years, where she was surrounded by family. Deneen graduated high school in 1982 in Milford.

All whom loved her dearly knew she was the most loving and caring person, always putting others before herself. She worked as an aid in several nursing homes before finding a career in IT as a Senior Manager Global Mainframe of Operations. She always enjoyed teaching her granddaughter, Tatum, how to cook and bake. She had a passion for working on the family farm in Seward, where she moved in February 2018 with her fiancé Mike. There she loved to garden, take care of the ducks and chickens and she also loved working on the family's genealogy.

She was preceeded in death by her father, Milo (Mike) Sperling. Survivors include fiancé, Mike Eich of Seward; mother, Maureen (Ahlschwede) Sperling, Lincoln; daughter, Chastidy (Cheever) Fischer, Eric Fischer; and granddaughter Tatum Fischer of Lincoln; sister, Darice (Sperling) Crews, Scott Crews; daughters, Brooke and Amber Crews of Omaha; brother, Darin and Nicole (Frerichs) Sperling; sons, Conner and Cody Sperling of Roca and Dana and LaDawn (Capek) Sperling of Lakewood, Colorado; uncle, Gordon Ahlschwede of Ontario, Canada; aunts, Ardeth Sperling of Arlington and Ardes (Ray) Vance of Alphagretta, Georgia; numerous cousins; and father of daughter, Tony Cheever of Chicago, Illinois.

A memorial service was Dec. 7 at St. John Lutheran Church in Seward. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Orphan Grain Train or donor's choice. Condolences may be left for the family at www.volzkefuneralhome.com.
