COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS Boards of Commissioner Meetings are held each Tuesday morning in the Seward County Courthouse at 9:00 a.m., except for the first Tuesday of each month when meetings will be held at 8:30 a.m. Notice of each meeting is posted on the Courthouse bulletin board and on the Commissioner’s room door. The agenda for all meetings is kept continually current and is available for public inspection at the County Clerk’s Office during normal business hours. The agenda is held open until one business day prior to the meeting for appearance before the Board. The Board has the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting. CLAIMS ALLOWED NOVEMBER 20, 2020 The Seward County Board of Commissioners convened on October 20, 2020, at 9:00 a.m. Present: Chairperson: John Culver Members: Bob Vrbka, Ken Schmieding, Becky Paulsen County Clerk: Sherry Schweitzer Approved the minutes of October 13, 2020. Commissioners gave an update of their activities. Discussion was held on temporary committee liaison assignments until a new Commissioner is appointed. Discussion was held on recommitting to Nebraska Intergovernmental Risk Management Association for liability and workers comp insurance. Accepted the County Treasurer’s 1st Quarter Investment Report. Approved Farmers & Merchants Bank to substitute pledged securities. Accepted the Clerk of the District Court Fee Report for September 2020. Ryan Poots of Eagle View Pictometry gave a demonstration of how Pictometry works and how it could benefit Seward County. Approved road improvements for the KXL Pump Station as presented by Terry Wicht, Highway Supt., and Dan Forbes of TC Energy.
