COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS Boards of Commissioner Meetings are held each Tuesday morning in the Seward County Courthouse at 9:00 a.m., except for the first Tuesday of each month when meetings will be held at 8:30 a.m. Notice of each meeting is posted on the Courthouse bulletin board and on the Commissioner’s room door. The agenda for all meetings is kept continually current and is available for public inspection at the County Clerk’s Office during normal business hours. The agenda is held open until one business day prior to the meeting for appearance before the Board. The Board has the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting. CLAIMS ALLOWED NOVEMBER 10, 2020 The Seward County Board of Commissioners convened on October 6, 2020, at 8:30 a.m. Present: Chairperson: John Culver Members: Mike Mundhenke, Bob Vrbka, Ken Schmieding, Becky Paulsen County Clerk: Sherry Schweitzer Officials gave updates of their offices. Jonathan Jank, Executive Director of Seward County Chamber & Development Partnership, gave an update of the organization. Approved the minutes of September 29, 2020. Commissioners gave an update of their activities. Approved cancelling the Commissioners meeting scheduled for November 3, 2020, due to Election Day. Accepted County Clerk’s Fee Report for September 2020. Approved Jones Bank to pledge additional securities. Brian Foral, Seward County Surveyor, was in attendance to meet the Commissioners as the newly contracted County Surveyor. The agenda item for the Public Transit Software Agreement was not discussed. Jeff Baker, Public Transit Director, was present to discuss invoices for the Trip Master Software and Equipment. The Jail Inspection did not happen due to the pandemic. Approved Drug Fund-Paid Task Force Position and acquiring lease for Task Force and K9 Facility as presented by Sheriff Vance and Chelsea Smith of the Sheriff’s Office. Approved permission for the Seward County Christmas Festival to hold activities on courthouse lawn, as presented by Megan Kahler. Eric Hofer, Building and Grounds Supt., discussed an invoice he received in regard to the Internet at the Justice Center.
