Cleora C. Heidtbrink

Nov. 11, 1933 – June 26, 2019

Cleora C. Heidtbrink was born Nov. 11, 1933, in Greenwood to Herbert Melvin and Florence Cleoria (DeuPree) Carnes and left this world for her heavenly home on June 26, 2019, at the age of 85 years, 7 months and 15 days. She was baptized May 24, 1938, where Jesus washed away all her sins.

Cleora grew up in the Greenwood and Malcolm area where she attended and graduated from Malcolm High School. Cleora was joined in the sight of God and His church to Lester N. Heidtbrink on May 9, 1952, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Malcolm. Cleora and Lester operated a dairy farm for many years, and she was a member of Dairy Women's Association, member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, where she served many years with the Ladies Aid and LWML, 4-H leader, Ceramic Association teacher and member of HEO Extension Club. She was  a former employee of Russell Stover and Walmart. Cleora was a loving wife, mom, grandma, great-grandma and friend to many.

The Lord blessed Cleora with three children and their spouses, Douglas and Jo Heidtbrink, Jadene and Gregory Michael and Steven Heidtbrink, all of Malcolm; five grandchildren and their spouses, Jennifer and Russell Hall, Melody and Trent Brown, Sheri and Brett McKinney, Corey and Tera Heidtbrink and Heather and Richard Small; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Nancy Obermier; brother-in-law, Virgil Heidtbrink; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; great-grandson, Archie Small; brothers, Leo Carnes, Arnold Carnes and Herbert Carnes and wife, Joye; sisters and their spouses, Alice and Lee Elliott, Darlene and Ed Schultz, Phila and Jay Clark, Shirley and Robert Redding, Thelma and Frank Funicello; brothers-in-law and their spouses, Victor and Betty Heidtbrink and Clarence and Irene Heidtbrink; sister-in-law and spouse, Gladys and Jackie Isaccson; and sister-in-law, Virginia Heidtbrink, with whom she now waits in the Father's arms for the day of resurrection.

A funeral service was held June 29, 2019, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Malcolm, with the Rev. Matthew Tassey officiating. A graveside service and interment were in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery in Malcolm.
