APRIL 6, 2021 COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS Boards of Commissioner Meetings are held each Tuesday morning in the Seward County Courthouse at 9:00 a.m., except for the first Tuesday of each month when meetings will be held at 8:30 a.m. Notice of each meeting is posted on the Courthouse bulletin board and on the Commissioner’s room door. The agenda for all meetings is kept continually current and is available for public inspection at the County Clerk’s Office during normal business hours. The agenda is held open until one business day prior to the meeting for appearance before the Board. The Board has the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting. CLAIMS ALLOWED APRIL 27, 2021 The Seward County Board of Commissioners convened on April 6, 2021, at 8:30 a.m. Present: Chairperson: John Culver Members: Misty Ahmic, Bob Vrbka, Ken Schmieding, Darrell Zabrocki County Clerk: Sherry Schweitzer Officials gave reports of their offices. Jonathan Jank, Executive Director of the Seward County Chamber & Development Partnership, gave an update of the organization. Approved the minutes of March 30, 2021. Commissioners gave an update of their activities. Approved Seward County to exceed 50% of capital and surplus in designated depositories due to the funds received from the American Rescue Plan Act. Approved Surplus Property Disposal request from the County Clerk. Approved Jones Bank to pledge additional securities. Held Public Hearing and recommended liquor license approval for Speedee Mart #2737. Approved purchase of 4 handheld radios utilizing Emergency Management Performance Grant funds. Appointed Brent Schluckebier as a member of the Planning & Zoning Commission. Approved preliminary plans for 2 bridge replacements. Approved short form plat to create Tannahill Addition in J Precinct. Approved transfer of FEMA Reimbursement from Inheritance fund to Special Road Fund.
