APRIL 18, 2023 COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS Boards of Commissioner Meetings are held each Tuesday morning in the Seward County Courthouse at 9:00 a.m., except for the first Tuesday of each month when meetings will be held at 8:30 a.m. Notice of each meeting is posted on the Courthouse bulletin board and on the Commissioner’s room door. The agenda for all meetings is kept continually current and is available for public inspection at the County Clerk’s Office during normal business hours. The agenda is held open until one business day prior to the meeting for appearance before the Board. The Board has the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting. CLAIMS ALLOWED MAY 23, 2023 The Seward County Board of Commissioners convened on April 18, 2023 9:00 a.m. Present: Chairperson: John Culver Members: Misty Ahmic, Raegan Hain, Ken Schmieding, Darrell Zabrocki County Clerk: Sherry Schweitzer Approved minutes of April 11, 2023. Asst. Highway Supt., John Regnier gave an update of the Road Dept. Accepted the Seward County Treasurer’s 3rd Quarter Investment Report. Patrick Kreifels of Region V Systems was present to give the annual report of the organization and request for a contribution for the next fiscal year. Opened bids for culverts, gravel and rock for Seward County. Bids will be awarded next week. Commissioners gave reports of their activities. Approved Zoning Administrator’s Fee Report for March 2023. Awarded bid for the Seward County Task Force Building Renovation to Altar Construction. Approved Sheriff’s Fee and Mileage Report for February 2023. Approve setting aside American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds to help pay for an application and engineering costs for a grant for road projects. Discussion was held on infrastructure related grants. Appointed Roxanne Knutson as Interim Human Resource Director. Held Executive Session for personnel.
