Amy Jo Schultz was born June 4, 1969, in McCook, to William J. and Pamela (Orvis) Morse and passed away unexpectedly July 15, 2022, in Seward, at the age of 53 years, 1 month and 11 days. Amy was baptized at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Sargent and confirmed at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Beaver Crossing.

Amy moved to Seward in 1971, before making Goehner her home from 1974-1982. She graduated from Seward High School with the Class of 1987. Amy attended Kearney State and Peru State College. On Aug. 21, 1999, Amy was united in marriage to Toby Jay Beckmann in Garland. To this union, a son was born, Tanner Jay Beckmann. On July 17, 2014, Amy was united in marriage to Eric Tyson Schultz at Roughlock Falls, near Spearfish, South Dakota. Amy and Eric had a son, Mason James Schultz. Growing up, Amy enjoyed playing volleyball, track, golf and softball. Amy worked at Syngenta as a Research Associate for nearly 25 years. The last year, she enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom which she considered her favorite job. She loved watching Tanner do Figure 8 racing and watching racing in general. She also enjoyed spending time outside at the poolside with the kids and French Fry Fridays with Mason. Amy was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.

Amy is preceded in death by her grandparents, three aunts and two uncles.

Survivors cherishing her memory include her husband, Eric Schultz, Seward; two sons, Tanner Beckmann and Mason Schultz, Seward; parents, Bill and Pam Morse, Seward; two brothers, Brad and wife, Stephaine Morse, North Platte, Tom and wife, Stephanie Morse, Seward; sister, Carrie and husband, Greg Brecka, Dwight; mother and father-in-law Dennis and Margaret Schultz, Wisner; brothers and sisters-in-law; Megan and William Prescott, Le Mars, Iowa, Dirk and Kimberly Schultz, Pender, Toby Beckmann, Seward; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 20, at Zion Lutheran Church in Garland with interment at the Seward Cemetery.
