Sheriff Mike Vance will speak about his position as sheriff and answer the public's questions at the Seward Senior Center today at 12:30 p.m.
The Seward Memorial Library will host a mid-week movie today at 1:15 p.m. Contact the library at (402) 643-3318 for specific movie titles.
Ridgewood Rehabilitation will host a grill-out tomorrow night from 5-7 p.m. Hamburgers, hot dogs and toppings will be available.
The monthly meeting of the Seward Fourth of July Celebration Committee will be tomorrow evening at the Civic Center. Final reports will be heard and a group photo of the 2019 committee will be taken.
Area golfers hit the links yesterday with trips to the state golf tournament on the line. In Class B, Seward's Tyler Welch and Ty Wehrs finished in the top 10 of their district to qualify for state. In Class C, Cole Toovey and Bragan Meyer of Milford earned spots at state by finishing in their district's top 10.
The Concordia University baseball team saw its season end yesterday with a 2-1 loss to Texas Wesleyan.
