Good morning! We hope you had a happy and safe Memorial Day weekend. Here are some news and events as you go throughout the last week of May. 

The American Red Cross will host a blood drive tomorrow from noon to 6 p.m. at the Seward Pac 'N' Save. For an appointment, call Paul Mueller or Cj Novak at the store. 

The University of Nebraska Extension will host a program Thursday evening looking at trees. It begins at 6 p.m. at the York 4-H building. On June 5, a program called "Troubleshooting the Landscape" will be held at the Seward Civic Center.

The summer reading program kicks off next week at the Seward Memorial Library. A "Star Wars' party will be held at 1:30 p.m. on June 4 and all ages are welcome. Those not yet in school must be accompanied by an adult. Prizes will be given out during the evnet.
