Looking for something to do this week? Here are some ideas.

The Kiwanis KiTones will present a concert Wednesday, June 19, at 1 p.m. at the Utica Senior Center.

Seward High students will be at the Seward Senior Center Wednesday, June 19, at 1 p.m. to answer questions and help with tablets, smart phones, email, Facebook and laptop computers.

Randall Jantzen of Leadership Resources will present “Having Tough Conversations with Dignity” Thursday, June 20, at noon in the Civic Center basement. Call the Seward County Chamber and Development Partnership office at (402) 643-4189 to register. The cost is $10 per person for the professional development lunch.

The regular meeting of the Seward Fourth of July Committee will be Thursday, June 20, at 7 p.m. at the Seward Civic Center. This is the last general Committee meeting before the Fourth. Last-minute Fourth of July Celebration details will be shared and discussed. The meeting is open to the public. On June 20, the Fourth of July Celebration Committee will also have a special meeting with City of Seward department heads and committee chairs at 3 p.m. in the city’s municipal building to cover last-minute details before the Fourth of July celebration.

How much do you know about space? Seward Memorial Library will partner with Bottle Rocket Brewing for a night of trivia for adults with trivia master Cliff Lowell. Trivia will take place Thursday, June 20, at 8:30 p.m. at the Bottle Rocket Brewing Company. Cash prizes will be awarded. Create a team and register on the library website at www.sewardlibrary.org.

Seward County Public Transit will go to the Lincoln Saltdogs baseball game Friday, June 21. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m., with fireworks after the game. The cost is $10 to ride the bus, plus the ticket for the game. Call (402) 643-4067 for more information or to reserve a seat.

Liberty House Bed and Breakfast in Seward will sponsor the second annual Seward County summer flower garden tour Saturday, June 22. Tickets are $15. A portion of the funds raised will go to help purchase a summer pool pass for a Seward family. The gardens will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The itinerary and goody bags will be available at Liberty House.

A Buddy Check for military veterans will be from 7 to 9 p.m. on the 22nd of each month at Bottle Rocket Brewing Co. in Seward, located at 230 S. Fifth St. in Seward. Buddy Check is an effort by local volunteers to help prevent suicide by giving veterans a chance to talk to other veterans over pizza. Events will be held at the same time and location each month and are open to veterans of all branches, times of service and ages. All-stars

Area athletes participated in the Southeast Nebraska All-Star Classic June 14-15. Representing the area on the West volleyball team were Rebekah Klenke, Camryn Opfer and Anna Covalt of Seward. On the girls' basketball team, also playing for the West, were Bailee Baack and Kayla Luebbe of Seward and Brooklyn Gierhan of Centennial. The West boys' team included Kelly Vyhnalek of Seward and Bragan Meyer and Nate Mensik of Milford.
