Is it the weekend yet?

It's only Tuesday, but we hope your week is off to a great start. Here are some news and events to know about as we head toward the weekend:

A Tai Chi for Better Balance class begins today from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the Milford Senior Center. The class will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays through Sept. 24. The senior center is located at 105 South B Street in Milford. 

Seward Memorial Library is encouraging families to visit Concordia's Osten Observatory just east of Walz Arena with an event called "Concordia After Dark" tonight from 9:30-10:30 p.m. to learn about stars. Dr. Robert Hermann will host a brief lesson with telescopes and information about the night skies. 

Free blood pressure checks will be free tomorrow at 11 a/m/ at the Utica Senior Center. An informational session on nutrition will also be given at 1 p.m. 

The Seward County League of Women Voters will host its monthly meeting July 11 at 6:15 p.m. at the Seward Civic Center. The public is invited to attend. 

Four Corners Health will offer a free session on ways to quit tobacco July 12 at 12:30 p.m. at the Seward Senior Center.
