Good morning and happy Wednesday! Here are some news and events to know as you go through the week: 


Thousands of spectators were on hand last Thursday evening to watch Seward’s spectacular Fourth of July fireworks show. See more coverage in this week's SCI, available now.

Happening this week:

Free blood pressure checks will be available today at the Utica Senior Center at 11 a.m. A short presentation on nutrition will also be given at 1 p.m. 

What's playing? The Seward Memorial Library will be playing a feature film beginning at 1:15 p.m. in the lower level conference room. It is free and open to the public. 

Brunch and bingo The Milford Senior Center will host brunch and bingo beginning at 11 a.m. tomorrow. 

Four Corners Health Department will be offering a free session on ways to quit tobacco on July 12 at 12:30 p.m. at the Seward Senior Center.
