Election Day is here

Good morning and happy Election Day! The voting polls will be open at the Ag Pavilion from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. today.

Don’t forget these events are happening today and into the week:

Today

The GFWC Seward Woman’s Club will host its Election Day food stand at the Ag Pavilion. Homemade food items such as soups and desserts will be offered to those going to the polls and those working at the polls. Profits will go to the woman’s club.

The Future Stars basketball camp will take place tonight at the high school from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Cost is $35 and is open to girls in third through sixth grade. Contact Tom Tvrdy at (402) 560-4672 for more information.

Coming up:

Concordia University’s pre-med club is hosting a blood drive on Nov. 8 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Cattle Conference Room on campus.

Singers and songwriters Moors and McCumber will perform at Olde Glory Theatre on Nov. 9 at 7 p.m. A cash bar will be provided by Red Path Gallery and Tasting Room beginning at 6 p.m. when doors open.

The annual Buddy Poppy donations will be accepted Nov. 10 at both the Seward Walmart and Pac ‘N’ Save. Poppies are worn to remember the sacrifices of those in the military and their families.
