Delores E. Aegerter

Delores Elaine Aegerter was born May 25, 1931, in Fremont. She was adopted by Walter and Emma (Staehr) Herpolsheimer and passed away Dec. 5, 2018, at the age of 87 years, 6 months and 10 days.

Delores grew up in Seward where she attended and graduated from St. John High School with the class of 1949. On Oct. 16, 1949, she was united in marriage to Eugene K. Aegerter at St. John Lutheran Church. To this union, six children were born. Delores was a full-time mother and wife, caring for Gene and her children. She spent many hours running her kids to their 4-H meetings, horse shows and sporting events. Delores had a ceramics store in her basement and loved doing different crafts and taking pictures. Upon Gene’s retirement the couple moved to Matlacha, Florida, where they lived for 30-plus years. They returned to Seward about five years ago. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Emma Herpolsheimer; husband, Gene on April 21, 2018; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Harold and Ruth Aegerter, Mervin and Jane Aegerter, Arden and Betty Jane Aegerter and Ted Aegerter.

Delores is survived by her six children and their families: Fawn and Dave Kinnamon, Bobbi Jo and Dan Garvel and Aidan, Ryker and Dane, Dustin and Michelle Daake and Aloni Daake, Emi Bundy and Dylan Brooks, Keye and Nichole Kinnamon and Elijah, Abigail and Bryce, and Brecken Kinnamon and friend Ariel; Bret and Lorie Aegerter, Danyelle and Skylar McCaig and Cash, and Skylar Aegerter; Robin Wehrs, Travis and Jennifer Wehrs and Ty, Evan and Sydney, and Kaci and Justin Nielsen and Berkley, Nixon and Leighton; Dana Kesselring, Riggin and Emma Rixstine and Araeya and Tytan, and Raesha and Eric Mispagel and Everly, Kassidy and Robert Klingsporn, and Parx Kesselring; Chip and Deb Aegerter, Chase and Katie Aegerter, Taylor and Nate Moore and Braxton and Oakley; and Darin and Dean Sanders, Cicely, Prairie and fiancé Charles, and Devor. 

Delores is also survived by her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jack and Betty Aegerter of Seward; sister-in-law, Phyllis Aegerter of Seward; nieces and nephews; her cat, Chevy; and a host of friends.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m., with a funeral service at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 10, 2018, at St. John Lutheran Church in Seward, with the Rev. David Rempfer officiating. A private family inurnment and graveside service will be in Seward Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Aegerter family for future designation or the The Cat House.
