County quick hits - April 16

During its April 16 meeting, the Seward County Board of Commissioners:

  heard from Buildings and Grounds Superintendent Mike Janssen about various trees on county property, including some trees in the courthouse’s courtyard, which were damaged by flooding.

There are four evergreen trees on the corners of the courthouse, which Janssen said are causing some issues as they are growing over the sidewalk.

  granted two special designated liquor permits to Junto LLC for events on May 2 and 3.

  accepted the sheriff’s fee and mileage report for March, which were $1,780 and $1,151.31 respectively.

  accepted the county treasurer’s third quarter investment report.
