After winning a home dual April 16, Milford sent one golfer to the Fairbury Invitational April 18.

In the dual against Southern, the Eagles won 164-194. Cole Toovey led the team with a 39. Logan Roth and Colton Hauder shot 41s, Bragan Meyer 43 and Wyatt Mach 44. Ben Wanetka was the only JV golfer, and he finished in 53.

“It was a nice day,” Coach Tony Muller said. “There was a breeze, but not much.”

Most of the team was on a trip for the Fairbury Invitational, but Toovey represented the Eagles with a ninth-place finish, shooting a 43-44 87. Muller said Thursday was Toovey’s first time on the Fairbury course for competition.

On Wednesday, April 24, the Eagles will compete at Woodland Hills. The team will be divided into two three-man teams, and all the scores will count.

“That allows us to take one more,” Muller said.
