Milford has a new archery range.

The range was made possible through a federal grant, Nebraska Game and Parks and the City of Milford, with leadership and planning efforts headed by resident TJ Buchli. Now that the range is finished, the city will receive the federal grant.

Buchli said he would like to see some of that money go toward a new bathroom in the park, and he would like to have a shelter house built near the range, potentially through donations, to make it a more attractive park for people to use.

“We’ve got a park that our taxes are paying for that not many people are using,” he said.

The range is open for the public and Buchli said he’s hoping to have a ribbon cutting ceremony around Labor Day.
