Johansen receives 75 year membership award

Floyd Johansen (second from right) was awarded a 75-year membership card and certificate to the American Legion, Post #183 on Aug. 19. He served in four different divisions from 1942-1946 during World War II.  Johansen, orignally from Friend, resides in the assisted living wing of the Seward Memorial Hospital. "I have never given a membership card for 75 years," Ron Corbett, Friend Legion Commander said. Johansen will turn 102 on Sept. 3.
