Maynard M. Hessheimer

Maynard Mathias Hessheimer died May 26, 2019, at Tabitha in Crete at age 94. He was born Oct. 15, 1924, in Kramer, Lancaster County, to Mathias and Elizabeth (Schenamsgruber) Hessheimer. Maynard lived his life farming with his family and resided in Crete until his death.

Since his baptism at St. John's Lutheran Church in Kramer, Maynard remained an active member of his church as well as a faithful attendee. He was an active member of the Crete Fair Board Committee as well as a member of the Crete Blue River Saddle Club. Maynard loved riding horses, and his nieces and nephews enjoyed the many rides he would give them. He participated in many local parades and rodeos and received numerous awards and trophies over the years.

Maynard will be sadly missed by his twin sister, Myrtha (Hessheimer) Wolverton. He is further survived by his nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A service was held May 30, 2019, at St. John Lutheran Church in Kramer. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Condolences may be sent to the family at
