Dr. Jerry Pfabe has devoted time to researching the history of Concordia University, where he has taught for many years. On Nov. 18, Concordia will celebrate its 125th anniversary of being a learning institution in Seward.

Pfabe will show the original pictures of this German Lutheran preparatory teacher’s school located in the open fields of a small town with only 13 students in one building. Through stories and photos, Pfabe will lead the audience through Concordia’s history with more than a century of changes. Everyone is welcome to attend “The College on the Cornfield Reaches 125 Years” anniversary program on Sunday, Nov. 17, at 2 p.m. at Seward Memorial Library.

There will be time for questions as well as refreshments.
