Seward Memorial Library will offer a variety of programs throughout the week, beginning Monday, Aug. 27. On Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, story times for children who are age 3 or older and who have not yet attended school are planned. Children who enjoy creating with LEGO blocks can build during the LEGO Club on Monday afternoons. Afterschool Critter Club will meet on Tuesday afternoons. This new club will explore the animal kingdom through stories, games and crafts. Children in second through fourth grades are invited to attend and track their adventures in a Critter Badge Book.
The Chess Club will meet on Wednesday afternoons, and children in grades one through eight are invited to learn strategies and join in friendly competition. The Maker Club for children in third through sixth grades will be on Thursday afternoons, and Story Club will begin on Friday afternoons for children in kindergarten through second grade. A new Coding Club will launch in the fall for students in fifth through eighth grades on Tuesdays or Friday afternoons (choose one). All afternoon sessions are from 3:45 to 4:30 p.m. For specific dates and times check the library website.
