Donis Ann (Motl) Deaver, 67, of Lincoln, formerly of Newman Grove, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Feb. 4, 2016, at Holmes Lake Manor in Lincoln. Donis was born on June 20, 1948, in Fremont to Don Motl and Margaret Albertsen Motl. She grew up and attended school in Newman Grove, followed by college at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. She graduated in 1970 with her dental hygiene degree and enjoyed a 35-year career, where her patients were also her friends.

She was united in marriage to Darrell Deaver on March 28, 1970, in Newman Grove. They welcomed a daughter, Ann, in 1973 and a son, Paul, in 1980. Donis’ joys were her children and grandchildren. She was a caring wife and mother. She loved to laugh and never met a stranger. She was a faithful follower of Christ and was active in her

Lutheran church. She was a member of AOII sorority and a PEO sister. She loved music, played piano and saxophone and enjoyed Husker football games and hearing the band.

Donis is survived by her loving husband of 45 years; Darrell; daughter, Ann (Brad) Kile; son, Paul Deaver; grandchildren, Jacob and Alex Kile and Kelsey and Brandyn Deaver; brother, Mark (Robyn) Motl; brothers-in-law, Chuck (Linda) Deaver and Scott (Jackie) Deaver; mother-in-law, Betty Deaver; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Margaret Motl; and father-in-law, Howard Deaver.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2016, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Newman Grove. A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 11, at Trinity Lutheran Church, with the Rev. David Lapka officiating. Interment will follow at Hope Cemetery in Newman Grove.
