CHS to message parents
Jeff Hajny
The Centennial Public School board approved a contract with NDGMobile for a message delivery system during its Nov. 12 meeting. The system will allow for members of the faculty to sent text, voice or e-mail messages to parents. The agreement is for a three-year period with a rate of $1,750 a year. As part of the agreement, NDGMobile will provide the school with a system consisting of a co-branded Automated Sign-up Application website and complete messaging application for designated use, will allow the school to send text messages to those that subscribe and will provide customer service to the school via e-mail with a guaranteed response time of 24 hours for each inbound inquiry. Parents will be given the choice of the motif they want by logging in and creating their own accounts. This program will probably start in January of 2008. In other business, the board: • heard a presentation from members of the Centennial High School FFA featuring highlights of their trip to the National Convention in Indianapolis, Ind. from Oct. 23 to Oct. 28; • approved the hiring of Dana Yamber as a paraprofessional; • approved the resolution to extend their $1,350 a month contract for 10 more years with Dark Fiber Solutions to access their wide area network; and • finalized the NASB State Conference attendance plan for the conference in Omaha from Nov. 14 to 16.
