On June 29, fans at Junction Motor Speedway in McCool Junction were treated to a great night of racing.
The feature races started with the Holiday Inn Quad Rods. Troy Hoffman (Sutton) took the lead away from Sam Wiarda (Aurora) in the first lap. They jockeyed for the lead before Wiarda took it back for good. The checkered flag came down with Sam Wiarda crossing first followed by Hoffman, Koehler and Brandon Wergin of Milford.
Street stocks have been one of the more exciting classes to watch this season. After Byron Boerson (Grand Island) was turned around on the first lap, a restart that him to the back. Mel Franz (Hender-son) led the first couple of laps before the lead began to change hands. Boerson came from the rear to take first only three laps into the race. Good, clean driving left Boerson with the victory and Andy Wilkinson (York), Shane Stutzman (Milford) and Franz crossing in succession.
