Letter: Disappearance breaks heart

I purchased a plant in honor of my dad, Jack W. Langner. It was a beautiful blooming geranium. Faithful every day since May, I have watered and tended to it at his grave site in Greenwood Cemetery.
On the morning of July 2, it had 12 beautiful blooms which I thought was special because that would have been my dad's birthday. Later that same day after choir practice at the church, I glanced over and observed the plant was no longer there.
In talking with the neighbors, I was informed that one of them had observed a truck parked in the vicinity of the grave site for a lengthy time during the afternoon.
It is very disheartening to me that we have people in our community who do not respect what family members have placed on their loved one's grave. I hope every time the culprit looks at and tends to the plant, he/she is reminded of the cemetery, the grave site and Jack W. Langner and that his/her conscience is troubled by such a criminal act.
