The Seward County Sheriff Department had assistance from the Nebraska State Patrol (NSP) and the Seward Police Department in the case.
Husak was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), obstructing a peace officer and resisting arrest.
Husak attempted to flee the acreage in a vehicle, but was stopped by the NSP's SWAT team. Husak ran from the vehicle to a barn where the NSP ordered him to the ground and he resisted. He was physically taken into custody according to a probable cause affidavit.
Redshaw, who lived in the rented house, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), felony child abuse, resisting arrest and possession of stolen property.
Daniel, who rents the home, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, felony child abuse, resisting arrest and possession of stolen property.
Daniel has four children, ages 8, 6, 3, and 18 months, and admitted to using methamphetamine while the children were in the house. According to a sheriff's department spokesperson the children were not present when the warrant was served.
Lashley was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and resisting arrest.
Therien was arrested for allegedly possessing a controlled substance (methamphetamine).
During the search of the residence officers found a container in a barn with methamphetamine, a syringe, a spoon and a pipe containing methamphetamine residue. A small safe which contained methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia was found in a van parked in a garage.
Inside the home several pipes and syringes containing methamphetamine residue were found, according to the probable cause affidavit.
Bond for Husak, Redshaw, Daniel and Lashley was set at $50,000 and Therien's bond was $25,000. None of the five had posted bond as of press time and other charges could still be pending, according to the sheriff's department.
