The Seward School Board voted unanimously Feb. 19 to hire Chad Denker as the new principal for Seward High School. Denker is currently the principal at Kimball Junior/Senior High in Kimball.
He earned his bachelor's and two master's degrees from Doane College.
He taught geometry and algebra at Milford Junior/Senior High from 1995 to 1997 and junior high math, algebra, weight training and physical education at Crete Junior/Senior High School from February of 1994 to May of 2002. He has been in Kimball since then.
"I'm very excited," he said Feb. 19. "It's an opportunity to work for a well-respected school district and supportive community."
Denker said he and his wife, Chantel, have family and friends in the area already, and the time was right to move with their sons, Clayton, 4, and Caden, 2.
"We want to stay awhile and put down roots," Denker said.
